Getting Started
Creating Your First Note
- Open Pastel Ponder and tap the "+" button in the top right corner
- Give your note a title (optional)
- Add tags separated by commas (optional)
- Start writing or drawing on the canvas
- Your note is automatically saved as you work
Using Templates
Select from a variety of note templates including:
- Blank canvas
- Grid
- Lines
- Cornell notes format
- Dot grid
Customizing Your Experience
Access the Settings menu to:
- Change app color scheme (system, light, or dark mode)
- Adjust auto-save interval

Gesture Controls
- Two-finger tap to undo the last stroke
- Apple Pencil squeeze to toggle between pen and eraser
- Long press on notes to enter selection mode
Easy Sharing
Share your notes as images via AirDrop, Messages, Mail, or save them directly to your Photos library with a single tap.
Drawing Tools
- Select from a palette of colors for your pen
- Choose between three stroke widths (thin, medium, thick)
- Toggle between pen and eraser with the toolbar or Apple Pencil squeeze
- Reset view using the center button when zoomed or panned
Troubleshooting
Palm Rejection Issues
If you're experiencing accidental marks while writing:
- Ensure palm rejection is enabled in Settings
- Try adjusting your hand position
- Use Apple Pencil for best results
Widget Not Updating
If your widget isn't showing your most recent note:
- Open the app to refresh widget data
- Restart your device if issues persist
- Remove and re-add the widget to your home screen
